THE CITY OF IRVINE: PARTNERSHIP...PRESERVATION...PASSION
A major partner and owner of wildlands and parks is the City of Irvine. Part of this is the 3,132 acres currently dedicated within the proposed 4,100 acres of City wildland called the Open Space Preserve - South.
The Preserve is made up of a mosaic of native habitats including wetlands, oak woodlands and rare coastal sage scrub. It is home to some of the most biologically diverse natural communities in the world.
